Lynda Woodworth
Lynda Woodworth has been painting for the past several years and is a regular student at the Academy of Art of Highland Park, NJ, working with academy director Ana Eloisa Soto-Canino. Currently, she is focusing on watercolor. From 2008- 2009, she was enrolled in the Academy's drawing curriculum and created works in colored ink and gray scale using charcoal, graphite, ink, and various shading and toning techniques. From 2005 - 2008, she specialized in oil painting.
Lynda’s inspirations include her father, Roger Woodworth—a self-taught watercolorist specializing in outdoor, wildlife scenes; her mother, Eileen Harkless—a 30+-year teacher who encouraged creative play and visual thinking throughout Lynda’s childhood; her husband, Lawrence Costello, who is a gifted photographer and music connoisseur; her mother-in-law, Virginia Costello—a gifted artist in many different media whose work lives on in her children’s and grandchildren’s homes; and her son, Jackson Costello — who amazes her with his "free spirit" and his instinctive, unedited, and mischievous talents.
