Metuchen Junebug ArtFest - 2011
For the third year in a row, Jackson and Lynda showed a range of work in our town's month-long arts celebration every Friday evening in June. They joined more than 100 visual and performing artists displaying their talents throughout downtown Metuchen via open air exhibits, window galleries, live music, interactive art events and open-mic sessions. Many family and friends stopped by our exhibit, visited with us and discussed our art. In particular, Katie Flynn, Max Gerlach, Alexa and Connor Castro, and Jackson's cousin Eleanor Costello were very helpful in "staffing" our exhibit area and selling notecards. A surprise visit from Aunt Didi all the way from Massachusetts was definitely a highlight for us.
Over the past three years, Metuchen's Junebug ArtFest has grown exponentially in terms of the numbers of attendees, the quality of the displays and the participating artists and musicians who now hail from neighboring states as well as New Jersey.
